Our clients
The quality and extent of person data, that is used to form identity data, is the most crucial factor for the correct functioning of Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions. This has driven us in to design our identity masterdata management and identity management solutions together with our clients.
We have designed our software and comprehensive IAM solutions and services for the needs of healthcare, education, the public sector and business. We want to automate IAM to minimize manual labour, ensure strong data security and allow system users to focus on their customers and services instead of IT.
Healthcare
Healthcare organizations typically employ many permanent employees, as well as fixed-term and temporary ones, all of whom need access to the organization’s data systems. There is high turnover and many student interns every year. When they are employed for short, often overlapping periods, these people need access to various buildings and data systems simultaneously.
Here, only automatic role-based identity data management and modern access management tools allow staff to focus on patient care instead of IT and provide the correct access rights from day one.
Education
Third-level institutions, like healthcare organizations, typically employ many permanent employees, as well as fixed-term and temporary ones, all of whom need access to the organization’s data systems. In particular, the processing of many overlapping roles, free licences, managing external identities and attendance processing bring additional nuance to the needs of identity and access management (IAM).
We have built many solutions for education IAM with our partners. These solutions have been applied to identity data management, identity data management and access rights management.
Public sector
The public sector (cities, municipalities, joint municipal authorities, municipal enterprises) typically employs many permanent employees, as well as fixed-term and temporary ones, all of whom need access to the organization’s data systems.
The processing of large user numbers, due to the services being provided to very many or all residents, must be considered when building solutions. Powers of attorney, free licences, employees’ personal leave, processing by several supervisors, management of leave and substitutions, and clients without personal identification numbers create their own challenges for identity data and IAM solutions.
We have worked with our partners to deliver IAM solutions that comply with the Finnish Public Sector Digital Security Management Board VAHTI instructions and public sector recommendations.
Business
Companies’ IAM needs very often have varying special traits, depending on the company and field. However, the basic needs are the same in both the public and private sectors. Identity data is dispersed across many systems, they are deficient and they are updated at varying intervals. Identity data must first be combined and harmonized before the company can start managing access to data systems and premises based on digital identities. In particular, companies need to resolve the processing of multiple data systems’ interface integration needs (as a result of mergers and acquisitions), the automatic re-confirmation of authorizations (attestation) and GDPR requirements.
